Hello! I'm Miranda and I am a local Washingtonian who has been working hard to creating all-natural, chemical free, perfume free, dye free and vegan bath and skin products. As a busy mom who found herself stuck on a couch after a hiking accident and two surgeries, I tapped into my creativity and began making my own self care products to help me through the healing process. I liked them so much that I decided to take the opportunity to share them with the world. I finally found something besides my family that I could truly put my heart and soul into. I am truly passionate about sharing my products with others and giving you the opportunity to turn self care into a moment to focus on you and your own healing. With Angitia's Garden, work never really feels like work, it feels like a moment of peace. I am so grateful for this chance to learn and grow with you all. And where did I come up with the name you might ask? I decided to tap into my heritage to fine something I resonated with.
“Angitia is the Italian Goddess of Healing and Magic. One of the most famed sorceresses of Greek myth, she was a healer with knowledge of herbs as medicine andshe had a reputation as a powerful psychic, snake charmer, and magician. Her followers were known to be astute fortune tellers and healers and she was so well loved and venerated, that when the Roman Christians conquered the area, the worship of Goddess Angitia survived via the veneration of Catholic Saint San Domenico, who is also a healer and snake charmer, and to whom annual feasts are celebrated with live snakes to this day. Angitia also brings with her the energy of “renewal” as the snake sheds it’s skin to rejuvenate, refresh and heal the old form as it sheds it’s skin and regenerates a new skin, in some cases, to better fit in/adapt to a changing habitat/circumstances. Angitia is a beautiful Goddess to add to your altar especially for those who resonate with being a healer, kitchen witch, herbalist, Shaman, medicine woman and for those seeking to renew and refresh!” I decided to embrace this energy.
